ERASMUS+ PROJECT – “WAVES OF LEARNING”
Dear fourth-grade students,
Starting Monday, Septmeber 8th 2025, applications open for student mobility within the Erasmus+ project Waves of Learning.
The project includes three mobility programmes in EU Member States and Turkey, in cooperation with renowned maritime education institutions.

🇵🇹 Portugal – Setúbal

✅ STUDENT SELECTION CRITERIA
A selection committee consisting of fourth-grade class teachers and the school principal will evaluate all applications based on the following criteria:
📚 Overall Academic Achievement (1st–3rd grade)
– The average of overall grades across all three years.
– Maximum: 5 points
⚙️ Vocational Subjects (1st–3rd grade)
– Average of all vocational subject grades over three years.
– Maximum: 5 points
🗣 English and English for Vocational Purposes (1st–3rd grade)
– Average of final grades in both subjects.
– Maximum: 5 points
⚠️ Behavioural Measures (3rd grade)
– Class teacher’s warning: –1 point
– Class council reprimand: –2 points
– Warning before expulsion: –3 points
🧭 Conduct (3rd grade)
– Exemplary: 3 points
– Good: 2 points
– Poor: 0 points
🤝 Social Skills (committee assessment)
– Highly developed: 5 points
– Very well developed: 4 points
– Well developed: 3 points
– Sufficiently developed: 2 points
– Poorly developed: 0 points
🎯 Participation in School Activities
– Each activity counts: 1 point (projects, competitions, Lidrano, school newspaper, eco-groups, etc.)
– Maximum: 5 points
– If two students have the same total score, participation beyond 5 activities may be considered.
✍️ Motivation Letter
– 1–3 points: basic motivation, poorly explained
– 4–6 points: clearly expressed, well explained
– 7–9 points: exceptionally strong motivation, excellently explained
– +1 point: clear interest in the specific focus of the selected mobility programme
Use of AI tools in writing is not prohibited; however, authenticity and personal expression are valued.
If two candidates have equal scores in all other criteria, preference will be given to a motivation letter clearly not written by AI.
